Retro Island Vibes with Local-Global Cafe Culture The Shack is an 80-seater Caribbean inspired beach shack cafe at Waterbom Bali designed by the acclaimed My Shrine Interiors. An instagrammable follie with five theatrical service points woven together by colorful beach find art and retro memorabilia. The menu focus is on cafe-style comfort food, drinks, bakery, and barista with a novelty twist. The tropical candy store style Sugar Shack counter provides guests with a classic barista menu from Bali Kopi, fresh tea infusions and shakes with a selection of doughnuts, cakes, cookies, giant meringues, and soft-serve ice-cream treats from the Sugar Rush & Liquid Sugar menu. An 'All Day Breakfast' menu and choice of burgers, subs and sandwiches, Jerk grill platters, salads, and savory snacks are served from the local hardwood grill and galley kitchen. Signature Cocktails, Mocktails, and fresh juices come from The Shack Bar and guests are invited to draft their own chilled Bintang from the Beer depot. With its rustic-chic ambiance and versatility, The Shack also comes alive at night on the last Saturday of every month during the Summer Season Sol Sessions. A local-global cafe culture carnival of music, food, and free form expression. All food and drinks at Waterbom Bali are 90% locally sourced and made fresh from scratch daily.

A tropical twist on the Eaton Mess, barefoot luxury indulgence - A kaleidoscope of texture, taste & color served on a giant leaf - crushed giant meringue, vanilla bean soft serve, seasonal island fruits, fresh whipped cream, mixed berry sauce, and roasted nut crumble. Good for sharing between 2-3.

Chef Profile

Ida Bagus Dwi Adnyana

Ida Bagus is a Balinese chef from Mengwi. His passion for cooking came from a desire to learn other foods than Balinese cuisine. Ida Bagus graduated with an associate degree Diploma 1 from a PPLP Mengwitani college in 2004. He first Worked at WET restaurant from 2006 – 2008 (M&M's first outlet in front of Waterbom). For the past 10 years, he has worked his way up the ladder with passion and dedication at M&M both at Waterbom Bali outlets and Food Couture catering until he qualified for the position as Head Chef of Shack.
