Bistro C Kitchen Director, Benoit, comes from renowned Ubud restaurant Mozaic where he held the title of Chef de Cuisine following a successful stint at luxury Uluwatu Resort Semara from 2014 where he held position of Director of Kitchen. A Canadian native, Ben originally hails from Quebec but it wasn’t just his origins which wielded a French influence on his creativity in the kitchen. His gourmet travels have taken him on more than a twenty year journey through Canada, the Caribbean and France and he has added an impressive list of accolades to his resume along the way. In addition to his reputation as a first class creator of cuisine, Chef Larochelle has earned such titles as Maitre Canardier, Tour Eiffel, the prestigious certification of Red Seal and the Louche D’or Certificate. He has collaborated with chefs of international acclaim, been mentored by Michelin starred masters from across the globe and been afforded an audience with celebrities the likes of Sting, Paul McCartney, Tyra Banks, Roberto Bellini and the Prince of Monaco. Before his sea change to the island of smiles, Ben spent 18 years working with respected chef and Maitre Cuisinier de France, Jean-Luc Boulay at highly acclaimed Canadian restaurant, Saint Amour.
